Three members of the Elon University women's basketball team were selected to the all-conference team by members of the Southern Conference Sports Media Association today.

Ali Ford's record-breaking season earned her a First Team all-conference selection for the the second time in her career. The junior guard made 85 3-pointers en route to surpassing Loretta Lawson for most triples made in program history (261) while finishing second in the conference with 14.6 points per game.

Junior forward Kelsey Evans was honored as a Second Team all-conference selection for the second consecutive season. Evans ranked fifth in the Southern Conference in rebounds per game (7.5), fifth in field goal percentage (46.8 percent), fourth in free throw percentage (83.3 percent) and sixth in blocks per game (1.4).

Freshman Sam Coffer was named one of the best newcomers to the league, earning a spot on the All-Freshman team. The 6-foot-1 guard started 25 games for the Phoenix, finishing 11th in the conference with 0.9 blocks per game. Coffer scored in double-figures four times for the Phoenix, pulled down 11 rebounds in a win against Wofford College and tallied a career-high 20 points in a win against Samford University.

Elon takes on Samford Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the second round of the Southern Conference Tournament.
