Elon senior wide receiver Terrell Hudgins needs 34 yards to tie the record for the most career receiving yards in the FCS. With 35 yards, he will break the record held by Jerry Rice.
Currently Rice has 4,697 career receiving yards. Last week, Hudgins broke a different Rice record. He became the FCS leader with his 24th 100-plus receiving game at Wofford College last Saturday.
