Hunt Ward, an Elon graduate and Burlington native, was following his passion when he bought Good Times Cafe in November 2014. Ward has worked in photography for most of his life, but has always loved the food business.

"I just love people so it's a good way to get reconnected with a lot of people in the community," Ward said.

Burlington doesn't have a Cajun style restaurant, so Ward wanted to bring something new to the area. Good Times Cafe has a wide variety of options; their shrimp dishes are the most popular on their menu. Every Monday-Wednesday they offer a $5.99 popcorn shrimp special. Good Times also offers free Cajun samplings for customers each time they visit.

Good Times Cafe is two restaurants in one, located in the Holly Hill Mall. On one side of the property is Good Times Cafe and on the other side is Wicked Mojo Bar and Grill.

The two restaurants share the same menu, but Ward explains Wicked Mojo as having heightened energy.

"The set is very much like out of "Happy Days", the '50s, a real cool family oriented environment. You come into our Wicked Mojo Bar and Grill, we step it up a little bit with a New Orleans themed sports bar."

Wicked Mojo Bar and Grill is celebrating Mardi Gras by having a fat Tuesday party on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Ward hopes to see Elon students, faculty and staff in attendance. Back Porch Orchestra will be performing at the event. The restaurant does accept Phoenix Cash.

Ward wants every customer to feel welcome when they enter the doors to Good Times Cafe.

"Its all about good friends, good food, while having a good time," Ward said.
