Whether you party or not, it's pretty safe to say that the majority of college students have heard about Four Lokos. They've been all over the news for a few weeks now. And the FDA just decided to ban the alcohol energy drinks today.
When the subject of Four Lokos started showing up all over my Twitter feed, I knew something was up. So I read up on what was going on. I even learned about how to brew your own Four Loko. And when I got a Facebook message from Josh Ezrine, the owner of West End Station in Elon, advertising "$3 four loko's", I smelled a story.
Turns out it came at a great time, too. Currently, West End Station is still selling Four Lokos. And so is the Kangaroo gas station in Elon. But we'll see how long that lasts after today's nationwide ban of the caffeine-infused alcoholic beverages. Distributors of Four Lokos volunteered to pull their products from the shelves, but how long will they remain available around Elon?
