A new study has shown that although many have learned languages in their early education, there is a decline in the pursuit of learning a language in college.

The application process for the Fulbright fellowship can often be very emotional, as it forces applicants to look deeper at themselves, Nicole Galante, assistant director of national and international fellowships, said.
