Democrat Marcus Williams wants to focus on the youth by helping them reach their potential.
Williams served as student body president in both high school and college and has worked as a lawyer for 43 years. Williams ran for attorney general in 2016 but was not successful.
On his website Williams said he strives for impartiality and fairness and is running to represent the people of North Carolina.
