Elon University Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) Dan Faill announced his resignation in an email to Fraternity and Sorority Life chapter presidents June 12.

According to the email, his last day at Elon will be June 22.

Jon Dooley, vice president of student life, said in an email Assistant Director of FSL Jordan King will now serve as interim director. A search for a replacement director will occur in the spring.

Faill said in his email that he will be moving back to Los Angeles to serve as the Director of Regional Networks for the University of California, Los Angeles Alumni Association and to be closer to his children, who live there. He said being away from them for the past two years has been difficult for him.

"FSL is still in the capable and expert hands of Emily Mitch and Jordan King," Faill said. "I know they will continue to advance the fraternal movement at Elon for all of our students."

Mitch currently serves as assistant director of FSL.
