April 7th is National Coffee Cake Day, and naturally as journalists we are always excited to celebrate a wacky holiday and eat something yummy. Here is a simple quick and cheap recipe that you can whip up almost anywhere, anytime.

The recipe calls for:

  • One box of coffee cake mix; which you can find for under $3 at any Wal-Mart.

  • One egg

  • Two-thirds cup water

  • A bowl

  • A tin foil pan

  • A spoon

 

First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Empty the contents of the box into a bowl and add the water and egg. Stir well, and pour half of the batter and spread evenly. Take the cinnamon packet that comes with the box and sprinkle half of it on the batter. Next, take the rest of the batter and pour it on top of the cinnamon. Finally load up the top of the cake with the rest of the cinnamon.

Bake for just over 40 minutes and in no time you will be enjoying this delicious cake.
