Happy Saint Patty's Day Elon!

Whether you're a pure-blood Irishman or just celebrating for the day, crafting for the holiday is always a good idea. Here's the how-to on making leprechaun hat cups to fill with shamrock shakes and lucky paper clover decorations to spruce up your celebrating. They're both pretty simple.

To make the leprechaun hats you will need:

  • Green plastic cups
  • Black electrical tape
  • Sparkly gold paper.
  • Scissors

Wrap the electrical tape around the middle of the cup, so it looks like a leprechaun's belt. Then cut up the gold paper into square "belt buckles." Roll the tape into little circles so they are double sided, and use it to stick the squares onto the cups. That's it!

To make the shamrocks you need:

  • Green construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Stapler

Cut the construction paper into half-inch strips. Lay 3-4 strips out and cut them so the lengths vary, with each strip a little over an inch shorter than the previous one. Stack them on top of each other, fold them in half, and staple at the center. Next, fold the ends underneath, line up the edges, and staple the whole thing together so it looks like a heart.

Do this three times until you have three or four separate heart-shaped objects. Cut an extra strip to be the stem. Staple the hearts next to each other in clover formation, keeping the staples as close to the middle as possible. Put the stem in between two of the heart sections so it sticks out at the bottom, and bend it slightly. Poof out the leaves to add some finishing touches, and you have your own little piece of Ireland in your dorm room.
