The Elon University Men's Basketball team is on the road tonight to face Davidson in the last matchup between the two schools while in the Southern Conference.
Elon will leave the SoCon next season for the Colonial Athletic Conference and Davidson will move to the Atlantic 10 Conference.
"It's the last time both of these teams are in the Southern Conference," said Sebastian Koch, senior guard. "It makes it really special for us because we really want to beat them.
"They've been the face of the SoCon for so long. We just feel like it's our turn to take a piece of this."
The Phoenix will also welcome the No. 15/16 University of Massachusetts Minutemen to Alumni Gym, Jan. 18. UMass will be the highest ranked team to ever come to Elon.
