Classics and pop-favorites could be heard from Whitley Auditorium on Friday and Saturday as Elon a capella groups performed at their fall concerts.

Vital Signs, one of Elon's co-ed a capella groups, performed Friday night. Since gaining four freshman members, the group has practiced songs for hours on end to prepare for shows.

"It's just a great group of people to hangout with, more so than anything," Vital Signs member, Nick Cook, said. "As corny as it sounds, we are a family."

Rip Chord performed in Whitley Auditorium on Saturday evening and they value the family aspect of the group as well.

"Honestly, my best friends are in Rip Chord. Having an end product like this with guys you love, music you love singing, and having a great time, you just can't beat it,"  Rip Chord member, Jacob Light, said.

Both groups are working towards selling their EP's in the near future. Vital Signs is raising funds to start their first EP and Rip Chord's will be coming out next week. They are also preparing for another big concert in the spring.

Elon has a lot to look forward to.
