A fabulous closet can seem impossible on a college budget. After all, your money is more than likely being spent on textbooks and coffee instead of designer shoes and this season's newest handbag. But don't let that stop you. Here are some tips to get that winning wardrobe without going broke.

1) Sales Only. Sometimes good finds require time and effort. Always check out the sale racks first! They are usually in the back of the store, and you will be surprised at what deals you can find if you hunt long enough.

2) Phoenix Benefits. Take advantage of your Phoenix ID card and bring it along the next time you shop. It's amazing how many stores offer discounts to college students. J. Crew, Kate Spade, Steve Madden, and Banana Republic are just a few of many.

3) Thrifting. Hitting up thrift stores is a great way to save money. Plus, chances are most pieces will be one-of-a-kind. If you look hard enough it's even possible to find designer brands with the tags still on them.

4) Closet Swapping. Here's something that requires no money at all. Share clothes with your friends, and see what their closet has to offer! Chances are that they want new clothes just as much as you do. Trade off clothes for periods of time, or ask to borrow accessories to complete certain looks.
