Coming off of a tough loss at William & Mary last weekend, Elon University’s volleyball team bounced back and defeated Hofstra in straight sets.

Seven teams entered the day within six points of first place in the CAA standings and just the top four after will qualify for the CAA Tournament after the regular season concludes next Saturday.
The Phoenix continue its postseason on Nov. 12, when the teams will compete in the NCAA Southeast Regionals meet in Lexington, Kentucky.
Elon is 0-5-1 all-time against Hofstra, with the lone tie coming in 2017. The match at Rudd Field will begin at 1 p.m. with the Senior Day ceremony shortly before kickoff.
The CAA Championship meet is not the end of the season for Elon’s cross country team. The team will compete in the NCAA Southeast Regionals meet in Lexington, Kentucky on Nov. 12.
The game at Bridgeforth Stadium in Harrisonburg, Virginia will begin at 2 p.m.
Elon University club swim, while not hosting any more meets this semester, is expecting to race in their next away meet in November at University of Georgia.
The Phoenix shut down the Highlanders for the remainder of the second half to secure a shutout victory.
The Phoenix continue its chase to qualify for the CAA Tournament with a pair of road matches to close out the season, beginning with a crucial contest against James Madison on Oct. 28.
This was the final match of the fall season for Elon’s men’s golf team, with the spring schedule yet to be announced.
Elon’s volleyball team is scheduled to face William & Mary next Saturday and Sunday in Williamsburg, Virginia.
