A London newspaper mistakenly accused Elon University students studying abroad of allowing 18 people to stay in a four-bedroom apartment. This caused the Global Education Center to fall under controversy for a short time because of the finable offense. The article included a photograph of a Foundation for International Education building where Elon students are currently lodging while studying abroad. The location of the building is 37 Hyde Park Gate, but the newspaper ran a photo of 36 Hyde Park Gate, which caused the confusion. Bill Burress, associate director of the Study Abroad Program in London, said that he has been working to get the story corrected.
