With just a handful of games left, there’s still a chance for senior shortstop Garrett Koster and the Elon University baseball team to create memories. The Phoenix are still in contention for the Southern Conference regular season title, but they need help and probably will have to pull it straight out of a hat to take the title. For now, Koster recalls the memories he’s already made in his time at Elon, and they have a consistent feature: a dog pile.

Adversity was the name of the game this season for the Phoenix men’s tennis team. With more than half of the team being comprised of freshmen and only one senior who battled hip flexor problems all season, head coach Michael Leonard knew it would be an uphill battle all year long.

As football season ends for the Phoenix, the team has yet to play one of its biggest games of the year against in-state conference rival Appalachian State University. Since joining the Southern Conference in 2003, Elon hasn't defeated the Mountaineers in eight attempts.
