Alamance Democrats seek compromise

Political change may be on its way for North Carolina. New legislatures will decide district lines that can impact voices of voters. According to Elon Senior and President of Young Democrats of Alamance Emma Greenberg, every North Carolina election this year is important, all the way down the ballot.

The Oak House in Durham off to a slow start

The Oak House coffee, beer, and wine bar branched out to Durham this June. But so far, its profits are lingering behind Elon. After the Elon location gained popularity, co-owners Phil Smith and Ryan Vet started discussing expanding The Oak House.

FloSports: New program changes access to Elon

From now on, streaming Elon University sports may come with a price. The Colonial Athletic Association has signed a three-year contract with FloSports, an online streaming service in which users must pay for subscriptions. The payments will assist the CAA in bringing in revenue.

Connie Book Visits Elon Elementary with a $10,000 Check

President Connie Book presented a $10,000 donation check to the Alamance-Burlington School System Friday. She also presented cookies to the second graders at Elon Elementary after reading them a story. The $10,000 was raised from the book drive during President Book’s Inauguration week in October. For every $20 dollars that were donated to the University, a book was donated to the elementary school.
