Kardashian is #BreakingHerReputation

Kim Kardashian is thrusting herself — or rather, her rear end — back into the center of attention with a cover for PAPER Magazine that exposes her posterior for all eyes to see, as well as a spread of fully nude photos. She previewed the photos on Instagram last week, complete with a pretentious caption that simply stated #BreakTheInternet. People may argue about why Kardashian is famous.

Senior acting majors host senior showcase

The members of the BFA acting Class of 2015 are taking a big step toward making their dreams a reality with their Senior Showcase, a performance event that compiles the students’ past four years of hard work and acting education. Each actor will contribute to a total of 11 monologues and six scenes.

Gun control starts with mental health care

A recent shooting at Fort Hood in Texas left three dead and 16 wounded before the shooter turned the gun on himself, fueling a debate on gun control and mental health on military bases. Specialist Ivan Lopez bought a .45 caliber handgun before bringing the weapon onto the base, violating military protocol because the weapon was not registered there.

Elon Earth Week 2024 events calendar

For earth week, the office of sustainability gets a lot of attention for its events. But, Elon’s office of sustainability plans events throughout the year in collaboration with other student organizations, Kelly Harer, associate director of sustainability for education and outreach, said. The goal of collaborative events is to help make sustainability accessible across campus, Harer said. This year, earth week takes place April 21 to April 27. In addition to events it hosts throughout the year, Elon University is hosting a variety of environment-themed events for the university and town communities.

Ines Bakery: from street corner to big dreams in every bite

Ines Roets smelled the hints of tobacco on the streets of Calle Ocho in Miami as she sold her empanadas to tobacco rollers and other businesses. With one hand guiding a stroller, her infant son inside, and her other hand holding a cooler filled with savory empanadas, this is where Roets got her start.  Every morning and afternoon Ines returned to Calle Ocho and people couldn’t get enough of her empanadas. This is when she realized there was something special here, so she held onto it.
