Elon University Board of Trustees welcomes two new members

Elon University Board of Trustees recently elected two new members: Cynthia Citrone of Southport, Connecticut and David King of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Cynthia Citrone serves on the Elon Parents Council with her husband, and is one of the university's strongest donors.

Elon organization collaborates with national composer for fall concert

November 2013 was the first time Adam Kehl set foot on Elon's campus. "I was finishing my doctorate at the University of South Carolina and was looking for a collegiate teaching position, and this job posting came across the wires and really intrigued me," Kehl said. One year later, this Sunday marked Kehl's inaugural performance, as Elon's new Director of Bands, with Elon's wind ensemble, Phoenix Winds.

'Lessons within Ferguson, MO.' opens communication within Elon

"It just feels as if it's a bad dream for everyone." Elon student and Ferguson resident Mia Ginae Watkins remembers pacing around the house while watching news updates in disbelief with her family on August 9, when an unarmed 18-year-old African-American male named Michael Brown was fatally shot by a white police officer in Ferguson, Mo. "Behind my backyard is the main street where the riots took place," said Watkins, a third-year student.
