Dave Franco gets engaged to 'Mad Men' star Alison Brie

With the end of this summer of celebrity heartbreak nearing its end, we are happy to announce the engagement of one newlywed pair, Dave Franco and Mad Men star Alison Brie... and only slightly heartbroken by the fact that this means there is one less Franco brother on the market.  Franco and Brie have apparently been dating since 2012, but the two are rarely spotted together and it seems like no one even knew about the budding romance until now.

Just this morning, The Daily Beast proved this point with its grave allegations against current Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. The post initially stated that Donald’s ex-wife, Ivana, accused the business tycoon of marital rape, but she has since set the record straight. “The story is totally without merit,” Ivana said.

Lady Gaga performed musical legend John Lennon’s "Imagine" at the European Games Open Ceremony last night, and reminded us all that the girl is more than singsong hits and over-the-top ensembles. Frenzy over Ebola causes animal deaths

While the topic of Ebola continues to spread around the world, news stories instill shock and fear throughout the United States.  It is difficult to leave one’s home without hearing a new story about the fatal disease, and with good reason.  At this moment, more than 4,000 cases have been discovered in West Africa alone.  And as the fear and mass deaths continue on to more victims, people are taking extreme precautions. Just recently, it was announced that even animals are not safe from this frenzy.  According to a recent Washington Post article, one Spanish dog was euthanized after his owner tragically caught the disease.

Recycling on campus needs additional options

In today’s world, recycling is no longer a foreign word.  Whether or not one recycles at home, many Elon University students are familiar with the concept and know how to separate out plastics and glass products.  The school’s Office of Sustainability makes it difficult to ignore recycling, since events throughout the year, including RecycleMania and the Don’t Trash it!
