Eagles end Elon’s season in double overtime of SoCon tournament

“It just wasn’t meant to be,” Elon University women’s soccer head coach Chris Neal said following Friday’s double overtime loss to Georgia Southern University in the semifinals of the Southern Conference tournament. Freshman forward Emily Hirano gave the eighth-seeded Eagles the victory in the 102nd minute on a header from six yards out. “They created a two versus one with (junior midfielder) Kimmie Krauss on the left side,” Neal said.

Women's soccer gets revenge on rival College of Charleston

The Elon University women’s soccer team found sweet revenge Sunday against the College of Charleston, beating the Cougars 2-0 on Rudd Field after losing both matches last season against the Cougars, one being in the first round of the Southern Conference tournament. “I just feel really great about our team today,” said Elon head coach Chris Neal.
