Some long road swings

The Elon University women’s soccer team had a difficult end to its season in 2014. After a victory over the University of Delaware on Senior Day, the Phoenix had to travel to the College of William & Mary, Towson University and James Madison University to conclude its season. The result: three losses, two of which were shutouts, on the road in the span of seven days.  Any hope that the team wouldn’t have an end-of-season road trip again was thwarted when the schedule was released.

Baseball assistant leaves, CAA commissioner to retire: Elon athletics notebook

One third of the trio is gone. Elon University associate head baseball coach Greg Starbuck has taken a position as a volunteer assistant at Clemson University, new Tigers coach Monte Lee announced Tuesday. Starbuck, 51, spent the last 17 years at Elon as the recruiting coordinator and batting and baserunning instructor. At Clemson, he'll work with hitters, infielders and catchers. The move breaks up one of the longest-tenured coaching staffs in all of Division I baseball.

Breaking down Elon 2015 men's, women's soccer schedules

In the last month, Elon University has released its men’s and women’s soccer schedules for this fall. It’ll be the second year in the Colonial Athletic Association for the Phoenix, which the men thrived in during the regular season but the women struggled. Let’s break down both team’s schedules. Elon sends off seniors with shutout victory over Delaware

Defense looks sharp as Elon prepares for CAA play
