Molly Offstein's family has settled with Keith Leamey, the driver of the vehicle that struck Offstein back in early March 2017. In court documents obtained by Elon News Network, the two parties settled for an undisclosed amount on Aug. 27.
In the case, Offstein's mother, Laura Byrne, was appointed as guardian ad litem (GAL), or the person who would represent her daughter's interests as she continues to recover from the accident.
Back in March, we shared an update of Offstein's condition one year after the accident. And most recently, Elon students held a 5K run "Show Us Your Shoes" to raise money for Offstein.
