Elon University will open at 10:00 a.m. Thursday according to an email from Vice President of Student Life Jon Dooley. The two hour delay is a result of "slick road conditions and low temperatures predicted overnight."

According to the email, those driving to campus are encouraged to use University Drive and Williamson Avenue.

Morning classes, normally held from 8:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m will be from 10:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Afternoon classes will still meet from 1:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m.

The delay also shortens the length of Thursday's classes. The first three classes of winter term were originally scheduled to be 4 hours each, a 1 hour extension of the usual 3 hour class period due to the the limited number of class days this Winter term according to a Jon Dooley email earlier this month.

The Moseley Student Center will still open at 8:00 a.m. while Acorn Coffee Shop, Lakeside Dining Hall and Einstein Bros Bagels will open at 9:00 a.m.

The Danieley Tram and all BioBus shuttle routes will start at 9:00 a.m.
