Elon University announced the selection of Connie Ledoux Book as its next president on Monday morning. Book was introduced to the Elon Community in an event in Alumni Gym on Monday afternoon following introductions from Kerii Anderson, Elon trustee, and Wes Elingburg, head of the presidential search committee.
Book, a member of Elon's faculty for 16 years and a parent of an Elon alumnus, said that she felt a "strong sense of coming home" upon her return to campus.
