The Ellington Center for Health and Wellness, located on Elon’s South Campus, lost power this morning after a cable was severed this morning due to construction behind the building, according to an e-mail sent by Dr. Jana Lynn Patterson, associate vice president of student life and dean of student health and wellness.

A generator is being used to power Student Health services, and while the building is still operating, the power loss could potentially result in delays with patient scheduling. Due to these delays, patients scheduled for Faculty/Staff Wellness this afternoon are encouraged to call 336-278-5569 in order to confirm that the power has returned and the PA is able to see patients.

Duke Power is on site and assessing how long it will take to restore power to the building.

The construction causing the outage is the building of a new recreation center on South Campus.
