With its Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament seeding already decided, the Elon University men’s basketball team closed out the regular season with a 77-59 win at the University of Delaware Saturday.

Elon led for all but two minutes and ten seconds of the game, cruising to its fifth conference road victory over the last-place Blue Hens. Elon led by double-digits for nearly the entire second half.

With the win, Elon finishes 5-4 on the road in conference play, and earned its eighth road win of the season, tying the Division I-era school record initially set in 2013.

Freshman forward Tyler Seibring led Elon with 17 points and nine rebounds, and sophomore guard Dmitri Thompson added 16 points. Freshman guard Dainan Swoope scored 10 points.

For Delaware, fifth-year senior forward Marvin King-Davis scored 20 points to lead all scorers on the afternoon, and sophomore guard Kory Holden added 16.
