Sakin is most known on campus for his work with Safe Rides. However, this human service studies major and leadership studies minor is involved in a variety of other organizations at Elon.

Not only is Sakin the Head Captain for Safe Rides, but he is also a Leadership Fellow, Risk Manager for Zeta Beta Tau, a former Resident Assistant, and was most recently appoint Student Director of Alternative Breaks. Throughout his time at Elon, Sakin became increasingly passionate about Safe Rides and said he could not imagine leaving the organization.

"Looking at the difference that Safe Rides as a whole makes on the community its not something that you can really give up," he said. "I would just feel terrible if I left something like that because its really an impactful organization on campus."

Sakin's passion and dedication does not go unnoticed. Associate Director of the Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement, Bob Frigo, nominated Sakin for the 2015 Community Service Impact Award.

"I think Noah chooses a cause and goes really deep into that cause and I think for that he's really a role model for other students across and beyond campus," Frigo said.

Frigo said he will miss Noah in the Kernodle Center next year, but he cannot wait to see what he does after Elon.

In his final months at Elon, Sakin will continue working in the Kernodle Center. As for post graduation plans, Sakin hopes to have a career where he can continue to serve his community.
