International superstar, songwriter and recent revenge-seeking heroine Taylor Swift has just added another title to her overly packed resume: godmother to a beautiful little boy named Leo Thames.
Son of “Hart of Dixie” actress Jaime King and her director husband Kyle Newman, Leo was born July 16 and is already in great company. Just yesterday he met his pop sensation godmother Taylor Swift for the first time, and the event was full of joy and laughter for all. With the whole affair captured via Taylor and Jaime’s Instagram pages, it is easy to see Taylor’s growing love for her new godson.
Jaime selecting Taylor for the coveted role was a no-brainer — her first son James Knight’s godmother is Jessica Alba, after all — because of her care and compassion for everyone in her life already.
“She’s so uninhibited in her giving,” Jaime said of Taylor. “It’s just beyond. She’s so clear with what it is that she wants to do, yet at the same time she leaves herself so vulnerable. It is really powerful to me. That’s why I feel like she’s going to be the perfect godmother.”
