If weekly happy hours aren't enough for you, fear not -- there are plenty of summer events to celebrate. Here are just a few reasons to invite over some friends and whip up the perfect cocktail.

Music Festival Moscow Mule

Whether you’re in Chicago for Lollapalooza or already planning for next year’s Coachella, pregame your favorite artists with the summer’s trendiest drink. You’ll need lime juice, vodka, ginger beer and a fancy glass … or maybe a Camelback.

Fourth of July Vodka Watermelon

There are few fruits more seemingly patriotic than the watermelon. The 4th may have passed, but this alternative drink is perfect for any summer party.

Cut a hole in a watermelon the size of a vodka bottle top. Place the spout in the hole, and let the bottle drain all the way. Once it has, let it refrigerate overnight. Once your guests arrive, cut into the melon for a delicious treat that packs a punch.

 Pride Parade Pina Colada

Celebrate some marriage equality with a tasty, tropical favorite. Blend rum, cream of coconut and pineapple juice and garnish with a maraschino cherry. Add a few drops of rainbow food coloring to really bring together the theme.

Hole-in-One John Daly

The John Daly is simply the more fun version of an Arnold Palmer. Whether you’re watching The Open Championship or playing some putt-putt, add some vodka to your half & half, and raise a glass to Jordan Spieth.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

There’s nothing quite like guzzling some Budweiser with your peanuts and Cracker Jacks, but it can’t hurt to switch it up. Before heading to the nearest baseball diamond, whip up a pitcher of sangria to share while tailgating. There are plenty of ways to prepare it, but this recipe from Food Network is a grand slam.
