Grumpy Cat’s grimace is famous. People around the world have grown fond of the permanent stank face of this fluffy feline. But now it looks like Grumpy Cat may have been warming up the throne for her competition, Earl the Grumpy Dog.
Pugs may be all the rage these days, but Earl is not having it — clearly. This 5-month-old Puggle has a serious case of RBF, but his owner, Derek Bloomefield told Yahoo UK that Earl is a normal puppy: cuddly, energetic and way friendlier than he looks.
Soon after his owner posted photos of the dog’s sullen face on Reddit, the Internet took notice. The pictures quickly gained more than 2 million views and became the subject of memes that read, “this dog looks like it pays taxes” and “say fetch one more time.”
Although cats seem to be the new craze, the irresistible charm of puppies may help Grumpy Dog become the next big thing. If this is the case, Derek could earn a fortune of around $100 million, similar to Grumpy Cat’s owner.
Moral of the story: adopting a pouting puppy is equivalent to winning the lottery. Choose wisely.
