Elon University staff member Robin Russell died in her sleep March 28, according to an email from Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Steven House. Russell worked at the Elon bookstore and lived with her husband, Alan, associate professor of mathematics, in Colonnades E.
House said in his email Russell was involved in the lives of the students who lived in Colonnades, often sharing meals with them and attending neighborhood events.
Members of the Elon community are invited to attend a “Gathering of Friends” at 5 p.m. March 30 in The Sacred Space in the Numen Lumen Pavilion. There will also be time today for prayers and meditation from 4-8 p.m. in the Numen Lumen Pavilion.
