The Elon University women’s lacrosse team will face two schools that finished in the top 10, five schools that made the NCAA Tournament, as well as its first opponents in the Colonial Athletic Association this upcoming year.

The Phoenix released its 2015 schedule on Monday, which opens up against their former Atlantic Sun Conference opponent Kennesaw State University at Rudd Field on Jan. 31.

Elon will then host eighth-ranked Duke University on Feb. 7 before traveling on a 4 game road stretch with games against Longwood University, Jacksonville University, Stetson University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Following the road stretch, the Phoenix will be back at Rudd Field for a home stand against four Big South teams. Starting March 6, Elon will play Coastal Carolina University, High Point University, Davidson College and Liberty University.

The Phoenix will finally open up CAA play on Apr. 3 when it faces off against three-time defending CAA champion Towson University. The Phoenix will then travel to Newark to play University of Delaware on April 5.

Elon will wrap up its road conference schedule after they face James Madison University on Apr. 10 and will return home to play the College of William & Mary on April 12 in what will be the first of two remaining regular season games.

The Phoenix closes out the season with home games against Hofstra University on April 17 and Drexel University on April 19.

The 2015 CAA Tournament will be held in Newark, Delaware with the semifinal game scheduled for May 1 and the final set for May 3.
