A nonconference home game against Clemson University highlights the 2014 Elon University schedule which begins with a three-game homestand and ends with a three-game road trip.

Elon hosts Clemson at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29 at Rudd Field. When the Clemson men's soccer team came to Rudd in November for the NCAA Tournament, it provided possibly the greatest game in Elon soccer history.

That match is preceded by a pair of home tilts against Jacksonville State University and former Southern Conference foe Appalachian State University. Elon also hosts Gardner-Webb University in nonconference action.

In nonconference play, Elon travels to West Virginia University, High Point University and East Carolina University. The Phoenix will head to Wilmington Sept. 12-14 to compete in the UNCW Hilton Garden Inn Mayfaire Invitational against Coastal Carolina University and Francis Marion University.

For its first season of Colonial Athletic Association competition, Elon will host Hofstra University, Northeastern University, Drexel University and the University of Delaware while traveling to James Madison University, the College of William & Mary, College of Charleston, the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and Towson University.

The CAA Championship will be played Nov. 9 after quarterfinal and semifinal rounds. All games will be at campus sites.
