Chris Little was named the newest head soccer coach of the Elon University Men's Soccer program in an announcement made by Elon Athletic Director, David Blank, Tuesday afternoon.

Little served as an assistant coach for the Phoenix from 2010 to 2012. He helped lead the team to back-to-back Southern Conference Tournament championships during his previous tenure.

Little replaces Darren Powell who resigned earlier in April to take a job with the Orlando City Soccer Club of Major League Soccer.

This past year, Little served as the Academy Director of the NC Fusion and head coach of the Carolina Dynamo who compete in the Professional Development League.

Little is a native of Swindon, England and currently lives in Greensboro, N.C.
