The Elon University athletic department announced Saturday, February 15, that this weekend's baseball series against the University of Cincinnati will be played at North Carolina State University.

Due to the recent inclement weather, the playing surface at Latham Park is still unplayable, Elon announced. The Phoenix and Bearcats will now play one game at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16 and another at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17. Both games will be played at Doak Field at Dail Park on the campus of NC State in Raleigh.

The series was originally scheduled to be played Feb. 14-16 at Elon until this past week's winter storm. The games were then pushed back to Feb. 15-17, and then to Feb. 16-17 at Latham Park before the latest rescheduling.

Elon announced Friday junior Lucas Bakker will start Game 1 of the series and junior Jake Stalzer will be on the mound for Game 2. Cincinnati plans to throw redshirt junior Matt Ring in Game 1 and sophomore Mitch Patishall in Game 2.

The Phoenix is scheduled to host No. 6 NC State at Latham Park Tuesday, Feb. 18, pending the field conditions.
