The World Series has not even started yet, but for fans of any other team in baseball, such as myself, or namely any other fan hating the Boston Red Sox for that matter, the World Series has already had its best moment.

“Rookies” is an application that can create personalized baseball cards. Matt Sebek, the CEO of the company, created a pack that translates Cardinals’ player names to a spelling Boston fans can understand easier. The cards also spelled “St. Louis Cardinals” in Boston-speak. This has made my World Series.

Personal favorite:

Player’s real name: Matt Carpenter

Translation for Boston: Matty Cahpender

This is a beautiful thing. There are no more words needed to explain how much I love this.

Honorable mention:

Player’s real name: Yadier Molina

Translation for Boston: Yawdi Mawlinah

Others:

Card No. 1:

Player’s real name: Matt Holliday.

Translation for Boston: Matty Hawliday.

MORE: MLB managerial mayhem: Leyland resigns, Mattingly out in L.A.?

Card No. 2:

Player’s real name: Jon Jay

Translation for Boston: Jawn Jay

Card No. 3:

Player’s real name: Pete Kozma

Translation for Boston: Petey Causma

For Molina, Jay and Kozma (that’s Mawlinah, Jay and Causma for Red Sox Nation), the position spelling has also been changed. Also a beautiful thing.

The only thing that could be better at this moment is, well, nothing. The only thing that could make my World Series better overall is a St. Louis Cardinals’ sweep. Or is it Cahdnals?

The World Series starts tonight, Oct. 23, and Adam Wainwright takes the mound for the Cardinals while Jon Lester goes for the Red Sox.

By the way, I had to try this for myself. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Jawn Lesta. (Is that right, Jerry “Rem Dog” Remy? You seem to have it down pat.)
