During the first half, Elon junior quarterback Scott Riddle set two Southern Conference passing records. Riddle set the record as the SoCon's all-time leader in completions with less than four minutes to go in the second quarter. Riddle broke the record with a four-yard pass to senior wide receiver Terrell Hudgins.
Shortly after this completion, he broke the record for the most all-time career yards in the Southern Conference with less than two minutes to go in the second quarter. This record was set with a two-yard pass to sophomore running back A.J. Harris.
